Metro’s Board of Directors adopted a Drought Preparedness Plan.

“We are in a drought but that does not mean we are running out of water,” said Mark R. Stratton, Metro’s General Manager.  “But the drought still impacts us.  It could last another decade or two.  For that reason, we must be prepared for any reduction to our water supply that the drought may cause.”

We are currently in Stage Two (Warning) of the Plan in response to the drought.

We are requesting our customers to limit landscape irrigation to 2 days per week between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.  Additionally, we are asking customers to avoid other outdoor water uses such as water misters, hosing down walkways (use a broom), and car washes with hose running (better to use a bucket).
