Metro Water Board

The Metro Water District Board of Directors holds its regular Board meeting the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The public is always welcome to attend. Members:

Suzanne Downing (2002-2006), current Board Chair, is new to Metro Water's Board of Directors, but not to Tucson. Sue came to Tucson in 1972 and has worked in real estate since the 1980s. She currently owns her own real estate company. Sue was elected to the Board in 2002, and will also serve a four year term. Her hobbies include her five grandsons of whom she is very proud.

James Tripp (2002-2006) current Board Vice-Chair, was re-elected to the Board in 2002. Jim was also active in the formation of the District, and first served on the Board of Directors in 1992 until 1994. He was appointed in 1996 to fill a vacancy and served until 1998. Jim was re-elected to the Board in 2002. Having retired as a utility official in Detroit, Michigan, Jim moved to the Tucson area 18 years ago. In Detroit, Jim was Division Supervisor of Inspections and Safety. Jim also recently served on Metro Water's Bond Oversight Committee.

James O. Doyle (1994-2006) has served on the Metro Water District Board since 1994. He was elected to a third, four-year term in 2002. Jim has devoted his working career to serving the public, having been with Pima County Wastewater Management for over twenty-five years. He is currently Superintendent of the Ina Road Treatment Plant. Jim is an active member of the community and also serves on the Board of Directors for Northwest Fire District. He has lived in the Tucson area for 38 years. In his spare time, Jim enjoys riding his motorcycle in Tucson's beautiful weather.

Dan M. Offret (2004-2008), current Board Chair, is a Tucson native. He has dedicated his professional career to education, and serves as Executive Assistant to the President of Pima Community College's East Campus. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and a Masters in Management from the University of Arizona, and is currently working on a second Masters degree in Educational Leadership. Dan's involvement in Metro Water dates back to the original founding committee formed in 1992. He served on numerous District hiring committees, acted as treasurer of the District Bond Promotion Committee, and represented resident interests on the District Bond Oversight Committee. Dan was re-elected to the Board of Directors in 2004.

Judy Scrivener (2004-2008) has been a customer of Metro Water District for the last 10 years. She has worked for Pima County since 1993. Judy is currently the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director for Pima County Wastewater Treatment. She has been actively involved in regional water issues. Judy was elected to the Board of Directors in 2004.
